China and Philippines have built a good relationship, and China has committed to the Philippines not to build any more facilities in the West Philippine Sea.President Duterte believes that China is a good listener and it is always ready to honor its commitment. Duterte said, "I cannot imagine myself being involved in a violent solution or almost a suicide action. There is no space for violence as an option, we should continue to talk."
In a bog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said, " I think President Duterte is right that the dispute in the West Philippine sea should be settled peacefully and by continuous talk with China rather than armed conflict that would cause violence and destruction of human lives."
Aside from the Philippines, other countries are also claiming islands, but if possible, anything can be resolved its conflicts by just talking. China also helped Philippine crisis in Marawi City last month by donating fire arms that killed two known and wanted terrorists Isnilon Hapilon and Omar Maute.
