Mainstream Media Not Satisfied of President Duterte's Deadline For The Terrorists

On October 16, 2017 at around 2am to 6am, Abu Sayyaf Leader Isnilon Hapilon and ISIS Leader Omar Maute had been killed in Lanao del Sur, and 17 hostages were rescued during the operation. These terrorists had been the country's most wanted criminals since the bloody clashes between government forces and terrorists that started on May 23.

Despite the best efforts of the Armed Forces of the  Philippines and combined special forces, it seems the mainstream media is not satisfied with the performance of the present administration.

In one of the interviews, President Duterte said that the government forces could penetrate the battlefield easily, he did not want to jeopardize the lives of the hostages and didn't want to destroy the mosques by dropping bombs on them.

In a blog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said, "it should be a reminder that the president is more concerned about the lives of innocent people who were held as captives by these terrorists than ending the war right away, even without knowing the aftermath of war."

Mainstream media always complained about almost everything. Aren't they happy that the war is almost over? The president told the media that he'd not risk the lives of innocent hostages who were a group of women, children and vulnerable old people.

I think this is one of the problems in mainstream media. It seems they are still provoking another war and new leaders of ISIS since they are this question: "sino ang susunod na leaders ngayon patay na ang ISIS leaders na si Isnilon Hapilon at Omar Maute?" I don't think it's the right way to ask in front of millions of viewers.

Let's be happy that the ongoing clashes between the government forces and terrorists is almost over. Let's thank every brave soldier of this country who had risked their lives so that we may live in peace and harmony. Let's support the present administration and the president for the its great efforts to end the existence of terrorists who used extreme violence and terror in this country.
